II. Research Platforms
Metabolomics and Proteomics Platforms:
Thermo Orbitrap Exploris 120 mass spectrometer and Thermo Orbitrap Eclipse mass spectrometer (The mass spectrometry platform has established a series of analytical methods including conventional proteomics, various post-translational modifications (phosphorylation modification, redox modification, protein N-terminal cleavage) proteomics, protein-protein interaction, single-cell proteomics, conventional metabolomics, and conventional lipidomics. A cooperation agreement has been reached with Academician Zhang YuKui and researcher Zhang Lihua's team from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to jointly tackle the embryo selection technology based on micro-multi-omics methods; and fruitful cooperative research has been carried out with teams such as Academician Daniel Drucker (2023 Wolf Prize in Medicine), Academician Anne-Claude Gingras, and Professor Arron Wheeler.)

Bioinformatics Platform:
A bioinformatics data interactive analysis platform has been built, including whole exome/whole genome, transcriptome, methylation, and statistical analysis web interactive analysis tools, for convenient and quick completion of bioinformatics data analysis needs. Currently, more than 20 tool processes have been launched, and more tool processes will be further updated to optimize the platform user experience and fully support the bioinformatics analysis needs within the institute.

Genetic Resource Bank:
The CITIC Xiangya Genetic Resource Bank has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology for the administrative license of China Human Genetic Resource Preservation (Guo Ke Yi Ban Shen Zi [2022] BC0002). The genetic resource bank has a construction area of over 300 square meters, divided into two sub-libraries: a biospecimen library and a genetic information library, with five functional areas: sample storage area, sample processing area, sample in-out area, office area, and information center. The genetic resource bank is mainly used to store the remaining discarded samples donated by assisted reproductive couples during treatment, providing strong support for the etiology research and individualized treatment development of infertility and treatment failure.
The storage area is equipped with a group of ultra-low temperature refrigerators and distributed storage servers, which can achieve cryogenic storage of no less than 1.2 million biological samples and backup of 50,000 genetic data. At the same time, the resource bank is equipped with a professional information management system to achieve information management of biological samples and genetic data throughout the entire cycle, from collection, transportation, receipt, registration, processing, and out-of-storage to quality control.
The CITIC Xiangya Genetic Resource Bank has been certified by the Human Genetic Resource Management Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, providing a solid guarantee for standardized management, effective protection, and reasonable utilization of human genetic resources, and laying a foundation for the development of industry-academia-research work.

Live Cell Confocal Platform:
Currently equipped with Zeiss Cell discoverer 7 fully automated live cell imaging platform, Cell discoverer 7 combines the convenient operation of automated box microscopes with the excellent imaging and flexibility of research-grade inverted microscopes, which can achieve
Automated correction, detection, and focusing of samples, high-quality sample data can be obtained for both two-dimensional or three-dimensional cells, tissue slices, or small model organisms.

Single-cell Genomics Platform:
The single-cell genomics platform includes single-cell transcriptome sequencing scRNA-seq, single-cell genome and transcriptome dual-omics sequencing scG&T-seq, and single-cell chromatin accessibility sequencing scATAC-seq.
scRNA-seq is a technology that sequences the transcriptome at the single-cell level. It can study the gene expression in individual cells, reflecting cell heterogeneity. This technology can be combined with high-throughput sequencing methods to obtain a large amount of single-cell transcript information at one time, helping us better understand the biological events that occur during the development of human early embryos.
scG&T-seq is a technology that simultaneously sequences the genome and transcriptome at the single-cell level. By integrating the analysis of genomic DNA and mRNA, we can better study the relationship between genes and their expression levels, revealing the impact of genetic variation on the transcription level during early embryonic development.
scATAC-seq is a sequencing method that captures chromatin accessibility (chromatin openness) at the single-cell level. Using this technology, the degree of chromatin opening and gene expression can be detected during early embryonic development, and combined with bioinformatics analysis, transcription factor binding sites can be identified to systematically study gene transcriptional regulation at the DNA level.

Experimental Animal Center:
The project is planned to be built in Yuelu District, Changsha City, adjacent to the CITIC Xiangya Lug Valley General Hospital on the east side, covering an area of about 4 mu, with a construction area of about 2932㎡, and a planned investment of about 55 million yuan. The first phase is planned to build about 4000 mouse cages and 400 rat cages. (This platform is currently in the fundraising stage)

III. Continuing Education Assistance Base:
In 2007, CITIC Xiangya Reproductive and Genetic Specialty Hospital passed the assessment of the Ministry of Health (now the National Health Commission) and became one of the training bases for human assisted reproductive technology and human sperm bank technology. It was also the hospital that was approved to conduct the most training projects at that time, including in-vitro fertilization-embryo transfer and its derivative technologies (including preimplantation genetic diagnosis technology), artificial insemination with donor sperm technology, human sperm bank, and management training.
Since 2007, our hospital has received 706 trainees, with an average of 40 trainees per year. Through repeated practice and summary, our hospital has continuously standardized and improved the management of the training base. Currently, our hospital conducts training in accordance with the "CITIC Xiangya Training Base Management Measures", "Training Outline", "Training Plan", etc. At the end of each year, the department reports the plan for accepting trainees in the following year, which is then publicly announced. We accept applications throughout the year, with three classes per year, each lasting three months. The classes start at the beginning of April, July, and October each year, and the assessment and graduation are at the end of June, September, and December.

IV. Mobile Postdoctoral Workstation
The CITIC Xiangya Reproductive and Genetic Specialty Hospital is the first joint-stock, modern, large-scale reproductive and genetic specialty hospital in China, jointly established by CITIC Group, Central South University, and Professor Lu Guangxiu's research team. It is also the first specialty hospital in China to be approved by the Ministry of Health to fully implement human assisted reproductive technologies. In 2017, our hospital jointly established the first postdoctoral research and development center for reproductive and genetic specialty medical institutions in Hunan Province with Hunan Normal University. The main research directions include genetics, developmental biology, reproductive medicine, stem cells and regenerative medicine, etc. It possesses over 213 sets of large-scale equipment valued at more than 200,000 yuan, and the hospital's cumulative research investment exceeds 200 million yuan.
