Genetic diseases caused by dynamic mutations can result in healthy babies through the PGT technology platform.
Dynamic mutation refers to a mutation caused by a dramatic increase in the copy number of nucleotide (mainly trinucleotide) repeat sequences in DNA, also known as genomic instability. In other words, a dramatic increase in the copy number of a certain trinucleotide repeat in the patient's gene leads to the occurrence of the disease.
Technical Post: Where to get the test done and when will the results be available? This table will clarify.
What is the most difficult part of a patient's visit to the clinic? ——It is the wait for the results of their blood test or sample, the anxiety about when the report will be available, and concerns about whether the results are normal and whether it will affect their next follow-up appointment. What is the most confusing aspect for patients while waiting for the report? ——It is not knowing which department handles their test items and where to seek advice.
Test Tube Baby Story: Another Patient with a Difficult Case Becomes a Mother-to-be
At 32, my husband and I have enjoyed a sweet marriage, but sadly, we've been trying to conceive for three years without success. We've undergone all the necessary tests and tried both Western and traditional Chinese medicine, to no avail.
People say that "test-tube" (IVF) is very expensive, but that's because you haven't been to "CITIC Xiangya".
For many families who want to have a test-tube baby, what is the first major obstacle?
Hunan Zhongxin Xiangya Forensic Identification
Hunan Zhongxin Xiangya Forensic Identification Institute was established in March 2009 with the approval of Hunan Provincial Department of Justice. Since the establishment of DNA fingerprinting technology in 1998, it has accumulated 22 years of practical experience. Currently, it has approximately 270 square meters of office space and testing laboratories, and owns instruments and equipment worth approximately 6 million yuan, including a 3500XL DX fully automated genetic analyzer. The institute has 11 forensic examiners, 90% of whom hold senior professional titles or have master's or doctoral degrees. In 2015, it was awarded the title of Excellent Forensic Identification Institution in Hunan Province. It participates in the proficiency testing programs organized by the Institute of Forensic Science and Technology of the Ministry of Justice every year. The results of the proficiency testing in 2016 (individual identification (bloodstains and saliva stains), paternity testing (bloodstains), paternity testing (two-linked PI calculation)), and 2017 (individual identification (bloodstains and saliva stains), individual identification (bloodstains and semen stains), paternity testing (two-linked PI calculation)) were all satisfactory. The results of 2018 and 2019 (individual identification (bloodstains and saliva stains), individual identification (bloodstains and semen stains), paternity testing (bloodstains)) were also satisfactory. From its establishment to 2020, the institute has completed a total of 6715 forensic identification cases, involving 15595 samples, with no misidentification cases reported. In September 2017, Hunan Zhongxin Xiangya Forensic Identification Institute passed the "two-in-one" on-site review of the inspection and testing agency accreditation and laboratory accreditation organized by the National Accreditation Committee of the People's Republic of China and the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), receiving unanimous praise from the review experts. In November 2017, it obtained the accreditation certificate (No. 170007034038) and the laboratory accreditation certificate (Registration No.: CNAS L10462), with capabilities in forensic evidence [blood (stains), saliva (stains)], valid until November 2023. This demonstrates that the institute has the conditions and capabilities to conduct testing in accordance with relevant national laws, administrative regulations, and accreditation standards, and can issue data and results with probative value to the public, gaining the trust of member countries and regions of the international mutual recognition agreement group, government departments, and all sectors of society. This marks a significant improvement in the institute's technical capabilities and management level. In 2018 and 2019, it successfully passed the laboratory accreditation supervision review and re-review. Doctor, I'm here for IVF and I don't know anything. How do I 'get through' this process?
For those who are undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF) for the first time, what is the treatment plan? What does it mean to start a cycle? What is a "night injection"? They may not know at all.
